Sonal Gupta, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Physician - MDVIP, Primary Care

A native of Murfreesboro, Dr. Sonal Saraswat Gupta attended Vanderbilt University for both college, where she studied biomedical engineering, and medical school. Dr. Gupta completed residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she was honored to stay on as Chief Medical Resident. She had the privilege of caring for patients as an attending through the Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital and the Ann Arbor Homeless Shelter Clinic.

Dr. Gupta believes in empowering the patient with knowledge of their body and their disease to be an active force of change in their own health and wellness. Excited to return to middle Tennessee, Dr. Gupta's special clinical interests include cardiovascular disease and metabolic/endocrine disorders. She practiced with Vanderbilt for 3 years before joining Heritage Medical Associates.

Dr. Gupta enjoys dancing, hiking, gardening, travel, and scrapbooking with her husband's photography. Most of all, she loves spending time with her children and family.
