Dr. Yoneyama is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He was born in Kentucky and grew up in Roanoke, Virginia. He graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Zoology and a certificate in Neuroscience. He received his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Virginia, then came to Vanderbilt University. At Vanderbilt, he completed residency training in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and remains on the teaching faculty.
He joined Grassland Family Care Center in 1998. Dr. Yoneyama is a former varsity athlete (Saber Fencing) and has a special interest in Sports Medicine. He has volunteered for community sports physicals, a pediatric hot-line, and served as clinic director for Operation Smile. Dr. Yoneyama lives in Williamson County with his wife, son, and two daughters. He plays basketball, enjoys outdoor activities and loves spending time with this family.
