About

Dr. Lipsitz believes in partnering with women to provide individualized, safe and evidence-based care and empowering women so that they can make informed decisions about their health and well-being. She appreciates the privilege of listening to patients and fostering relationships with them throughout their lives, whether for routine or complex obstetrical or gynecologic concerns, pregnancy, preventative health, menopause issues, contraceptive counseling or problems requiring surgery. Before joining Heritage Medical Associates in 2007, Dr. Lipsitz worked as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt for nine years. Dr. Lipsitz is the current Chief of the Ob/Gyn Department at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital and has previously served on the Ethics Committee, as Chair of the Peer Review Committee and as Vice Chief of the department. Dr. Lipsitz grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated magna cum laude with honors from Brown University. She received a BA in English and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She attended medical school at the University of Rochester in New York, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.
