About
Dr. Michael Smitherman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Smitherman then moved to Florida, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, followed by a Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Smitherman is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
