About

Dr. Luis G. Fernandez completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Miami in Miami, Florida, graduating with an honors degree in Biology and a double minor in Chemistry and Exercise and Sports Science. He then earned his medical degree from The University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine and completed his residency through the Jackson Health System in Miami-Dade County.

He moved to Nashville in 2002, with his wife as she entered into Pediatric Medicine specialty training at Vanderbilt. Dr. Fernandez and his wife are both active supporters of our local schools, and members of fundraising committees in support of the Nashville arts, including Nashville Ballet, Opera Guild, Belmont Mansion and Cheekwood.

Dr. Fernandez has over twenty-one years of experience in his field, and is passionate about achieving ideal health outcomes by accurately diagnosing, educating and treating patients. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his three children, outdoor sports, and being actively involved in Boy Scouts with his son.
