Connect with an HMA doctor from the convenience of home or work.
All you need is 7 minutes, a computer and a Follow My Health account.

 

Email Visits are available for Adult Primary Care and OB/Gyn patients from 7AM-4PM Monday-Friday and 8AM-12PM on Saturdays for a variety of symptoms, including:

 
Primary Care Patients
Cold / Sinus / Allergy Symptoms                      Earaches                                                                 Joint, Muscle or Back Pain
Sore Throat                                                                   Fever Blisters / Cold Sores                           Vomiting and/or Diarrhea
Skin Conditions                                                                                 
                             
Primary Care and OB/Gyn Patients
Female Urinary Tract Infections                         Vaginal Itch or Discomfort
 
 

How to Request an Email Visit

1. Log in to FollowMyHealth, select "Start an Email Visit" under Get Treated Now.                                    

2. Answer a 3-7 minute questionnaire about your symptoms and submit payment via a credit card             or HSA account.

3. A Heritage Medical Associates physician will review your request, and you will receive care           instructions within 2 business hours.

 


Email Visit FAQs

 

  • Save Money: Email Visits cost $40, which is about half as much as typical Urgent Clinic visits.
  • Save Time: Receive treatment for select symptoms from your home computer without having to schedule an appointment.
  • High Quality Care: Email Visits are performed by a physician with access to your health history, so he/she can recommend the best course of action for your specific needs. And the results of your Email Visit are entered directly into your medical record, so your physician is always in the know. 
 

Email Visits are available from 7AM-4PM on weekdays and from 8AM-12PM on Saturdays. 

If you request an Email Visit outside of those hours, it will completed at the start of the next business day.

 

In rare instances, you may be contacted to make an in-person appointment. But don't worry, if the doctor needs to see you in person, we'll call you to schedule a same day or next day appointment and the cost of the Email Visit will be refunded.

 

Depending on his/her schedule, your Email Visit may be completed by your doctor or another experienced HMA physician. Either way, you can rest assured that the physician performing your Email Visit will have complete access to your health history and can provide you with high quality, comprehensive care.

 

Primary Care patients can request an Email Visit for:

OB/Gyn patients can request an Email Visit for:

  • Female Urinary Tract Infections 
  • Vaginal Itch or Discomfort

 If you are also a Primary Care patient, you can submit for:

  • Cold / Sinus / Allergy Symptoms
  • Earaches
  • Joint, Muscle or Back Pain
  • Sore Throat, Fever Blisters / Cold Sores
  • Skin Conditions
  • Vomiting and/or Diarrhea
 

An Email Visit costs $40, about half the price of a typical Urgent Care visit, and can be paid via most major credit cards and HSA accounts.

 

1. Log in to FollowMyHealth and select "Start an Email Visit" under Get Treated Now. 

 

2. Select your Provider.

 

3. Read the Emergency Message Disclaimer and accept the Terms of Service.

 

4. Select your symptoms(s).

 

5. Answer a quick questionnaire about your symptom(s).

 

6. Enter any other information you'd like the physician to have.

 

7. Confirm your contact and pharmacy information.

 

8. Submit payment for your Email Visit ($40).  FollowMyHealth accepts most major credit cards and HSA cards.

 

9. Receive a response from a Heritage Medical Associates physician within 2 business hours with instructions about how to care for your symptoms.

Care plans may include over-the-counter or prescription medication (sent directly to your preferred pharmacy) or home rememdies.
