A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dr. Patten went into practice in 1985 in the Rivergate area before moving his practice to Heritage Medical Associates in 1998. Dr. Patten completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis.
He interned at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, and was chief family practice resident at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville. Dr. Patten is board certified in Family Practice and is a member American Medical Association , Tennessee Medical Association, Nashville Academy of Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Practice.
He also serves as Medical Director of Richland Place Health Center. Reading, tennis, playing music and travel are among Dr. Patten’s hobbies. He and his wife Kathy have two children.
