"Hi, my name is Debbie and I’d like to share my story with you. I am 47 years old and was suffering from two different problems. The first problem was frequency of urination. I would be running to the bathroom every two hours or more, even at night. I was always tired and felt that I spent half of my day in the bathroom. I had tired medication, but it really didn’t help a lot but I soon discovered that the right medication makes a world of difference. I now average about every 4 hours and usually only get up once a night. My sleeping has improved along with my daily life.

My second problem dealt with having low estrogen levels, but I didn’t know that for the longest time. I battled consistent mood swings, fatigue, decreased sex drive, and just didn’t feel like myself. My poor husband had to beg for sex. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to; I just didn’t have the desire or energy. Lisa took the time to ask those tough questions about things we really don’t want to talk about and I’m so glad she did. I feel like I have control of my life again and I feel like myself!"

“After having my first child I always heard that my body would never be the same again, but three months after my son’s delivery I still had pelvic pain and incontinence issues. I just thought that was my new “normal” and that I had to suffer in silence until my sister told me about Heritage Women’s Center. After a few months of therapy and treatments I was a new woman. I never knew such a treatment existed!!! I am now anticipating the birth of our second son and this pregnancy has been pain free thanks to Heritage Women’s Center! Lisa was extremely professional and I would welcome anyone to explore this kind of treatment. Don’t suffer in silence - you can be “normal” again!”

“Yes, there is success with IC. There is hope. Hi, I have IC. For those of us who have IC, the path to diagnosis never seems to be an easy one. I had all the classic symptoms, the years of "bladder infections", the years of antibiotics, the abdominal pain, and painful intercourse. Four years ago I had had enough! I researched “IC specialists” and I found Lisa Fournace. Lisa was the first specialist to listen to my story and actually care. I was so miserable and depressed when I found Lisa. Lisa heard what I was experiencing and she gave me hope. I did treatments with Lisa for over a year and with Lisa’s help and the grace of God I found relief. I am a twenty-six year old female who had years of my life stolen by this disease. No more. I took my life back by taking action. With determination and the wonderful care of Lisa Fournace, I have learned how to control my IC and not have it control me. I am now pregnant with my first baby. I am confident that if it wasn’t for my symptoms being controlled, the joy of pregnancy wouldn’t have been an option for me! Thank you, Lisa! You were sent by God!“

I’ve been battling I.C. for over 12 years. Prior to moving from California to middle Tennessee in 2005, various drugs, treatments and procedures, including bladder distension, have been used in an attempt to give me some kind of victory over my disease. I don’t recall ever being pain free and all of my previous treatment was painful in itself. This includes some of my initial experiences in the Nashville area.

Until meeting and being cared for by Lisa Fournace, I thought I would never experience lasting relief from my I.C. symptoms. I was under the impression that the rest of my life would include weekly torture treatments in the form of DMSO cocktails. Lisa changed all that.

Lisa does not use a “one size fits all” approach for treating me. She pays attention to every detail and takes the time to gather information and feedback in hopes of discovering a pattern or lifestyle choice that might need to be addressed. Through Lisa’s hard work, I have gone up to 6 months virtually pain free and requiring no treatment. And when I do receive treatment, it is painless and I am treated with the utmost care. Lisa has returned to me the quality of life I feared was lost forever."
