Dr. Alsentzer is a Nashville native. He attended Vanderbilt University for undergraduate and medical school. He then moved to Charleston, SC, where he completed his pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He enjoys being back home with his friends and family, serving the population of middle Tennessee.

He and his wife welcomed the birth of their daughter in 2021. They enjoy going on walks as a family with their 100-pound lab mix. His interests include photography, sports, travel, and trying out new restaurants.
