BILLING & INSURANCE

As a courtesy to our patients, we will file insurance claims. New patients are required to pay a $50 deposit at the time of registration unless the patient has Medicare coverage or belongs to any of the managed care plans in which we participate. Otherwise, payment is expected at the time of service and patients should be prepared to pay deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays, and any non-covered services on the day of treatment. For our patient's convenience, in addition to cash and checks, we accept Visa and MasterCard.

The physicians of HMA are participating providers with Medicare and are providers for numerous PPO's and HMO's. The following is a list of all the managed care plans in which Heritage Medical Associates participates:

OFFICE HOURS

Heritage Medical Associates' office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition, some physicians offer Saturday morning hours. Patients requiring medical attention after hours should contact HMA's answering service by calling the office number 284-2222, and the operator will contact the physician on call.

In the event of extreme emergency or a serious medical problem after office hours, it is recommended that patients go to an emergency room.

PARKING (Main Office)

Convenient, free parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to Heritage Medical Associates. For the convenience of our patients, the first 100 covered spaces have been reserved for Heritage Medical Associates' patients. Handicapped spaces are available on the third floor nearest the elevator, and spaces designed to accommodate handicapped vans are available on the ground level.
