Literature and golf are among Dr. Olive’s hobbies. He and his wife Star have three children. The two oldest are boys and the newest addition is a girl. Dr. Olive holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Martin and earned his master’s and medical degrees from the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

Dr. Olive is an associate member of the American College of Physicians and a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has served as chief medical resident at Baptist Hospital and has conducted DNA research at St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
