About

Dr. Matthews received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, graduating with an honors degree in Biology. She earned her medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida. She then went on to complete both her residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Endocrinology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Matthews is licensed by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Diabetes Association, American Academy of Clinical Endocrinology, and The Endocrine Society. She focuses on diabetes, thyroid conditions, adrenal and pituitary dysfunction, testicular/ovarian disorders, post-transplant endocrine complications, and general endocrinology. When she is not working, Dr. Matthews enjoys live music, reading, exercising, and exploring Nashville with loved ones.
