A graduate of Emory University and Vanderbilt University Medical School, Dr. Callaway's special clinical interests are cardiovascular disease and pulmonary disease. He enjoys gardening, reading, genealogy, golf, and boating. He and his wife have two daughters who are married and one son who is majoring in engineering at Auburn.

Dr. Callaway performed his residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has served as President of Heritage Medical Associates as well as Medical Director while returning to practice full time in 2009.
