Dr. Tammy Booker grew up in Memphis and earned her medical degree from James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. She completed her residency at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, and is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Booker spent the first six years of her career practicing in Brevard, NC.

She joined Heritage in 2002 when she and her husband Ray moved to Nashville. In 2008, they welcomed their son William to the family. Dr. Booker is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
